Welcome to Telia Style & Design. We’re an African-inspired home décor brand that specializes in the creation of bold and colorful throw pillows.
Our team is made up of Annamaria (Curator & CEO),
Jacky (COO), Alyssa (Model) and Catherine (Partner) who collectively share a passion for creativity, craftsmanship, and philanthropy.
And it’s not just our vibrant prints that take inspiration from our East-African roots. All of our products are individually handcrafted using traditional sewing methods and incorporating ethically sourced fabrics from Kenya and Mali.
Dedicated to spreading joy, positivity, and happiness throughout diverse communities, we hope that our products liven up your living space and bring sunshine into your life.
Inspired by the bible quote “love thy neighbor as yourself”, the concept of the business first came to light when I witnessed the never-ending queues at food banks during the Covid-19 pandemic.
Deeply concerned by what I saw, I felt an intense desire to help my community and so I knew I had to figure out a way how I could contribute.
Taking inspiration from our East-African heritage, we honed our craftsmanship skills and creative flair to form Telia Style & Design. Putting our heart and soul into every design, the goal was to bring chanya (positive vibes) into homes through bright and colorful prints, as well as give back to local communities through regular charity donations. We, therefore, decided that we would donate 15% of each Sifa pillow sale to the Never Alone Food Pantry — where our story began.
As well as supporting the local community, we realized that we could extend the support overseas to African communities by ethically sourcing fabrics and materials from small businesses in Kenya, Mali, and other locations that would benefit from this fair trade.
Our goal is to encourage customers to make bold interior décor choices and to opt for playful color combinations and mismatched patterns — trading neutral palettes and uninspiring design trends for alternatives that are both unique and uplifting.
We also want our customers to feel heard and understood, and so we will always reach out for feedback and suggestions when coming up with our latest pillow creations.
As previously mentioned, the business was formed with the purpose of helping others, and so our ultimate goal is to “share God’s gift with the world” and extend our support to as many people as possible. We currently only operate in the U.S., but we hope that with your continued support, the global community will be able to experience the warm embrace of our colorful throw pillows!
Dedicated to empowering our local community, we donate 15% of every sale from our Sifa collection to the Never Alone Food Pantry. As we evolve as a business, we aim to extend our donations to other charities and organizations around the world.
